Day 01
SORONG - JAYAPURA WAMENA (L,D)
Depart to Jayapura, meet and greet upon Arrival in Jayapura 8:30. then take a
short flight to Wamena. Transfer to Baliem Valley resort, afternoon free at own
leisure.

Day 02
SALTSPING AND MUMMY (B,L,D)
In the morning one hour drive to Jiwika in the central Baliem-Valley. Start of
an one hour long walking-tour uphill (about 300 heightmeters) trough a beautiful
mountain-rainforest to the traditional saltspring of a Dani clan. Native women
in traditional costumes accompany us. They will demonstrate the old technics
of the salt production. After the relegation we have lunch on the mountains base.
After lunch we walk to the close Kurulu hamlet, where a very old mummy of
the famous Dugum clan can be admired. Afterwards the women show us how
the brought brine is processed. In the neighbourhood we see more picturesque
hamlets. Everywhere the friendly natives offer their arts and crafts, weapons
and curiosities. In the afternoon drive back to the Resort.

Day 03
WAMENA – KOSAREK – SERKASI (B,L,D)
Transfer to Wamena Airport then on Mission Chartered Flight to Kosarek (ca.
30 Minutes flight ), Up on arrival, arrange the porters then start your trek to
Serkasi village for about 4 hours , passing the river and rain forest.
We will meet the Tribesman during the trekking or we can direct interact with
them while they are busy with their gardens, Lunch Box en-route, afternoon
arrived in Serkasi, Dinner and stay at Rumah Kepala Suku ( Chief House ).

Day 04
SERKASI – HOMBUGA – KOSAREK (B,L,D)
Breakfast then continued trek down the hills to Hombuga Village (3 hours walk)
where we will arrange a very special Pig Festival and Dances for you, the
Natives will wear their best outfit with the Rotten rope circled around the hip.
Lunch will be served in appropriate time by our cook, by noon time continue
walk to Kosarek, Dinner and overnight at Mission Guest House.

Day 05
KOSAREK – WAMENA (B,L,D)
Breakfast, then on Mission Chartered flight return to Wamena, upon arrival
transfer to The Baliem Valley Resort, afternoon free at own leisure, Lunch and
Dinner at the resort.

Day 06
TRADITIONAL PIG FESTIVAL AT KERULU (B,L,D)
All day long traditional “pig-festival” in an old Dani-hamlet in the Jiwika region.
Many dressed up clan members in traditional costumes celebrate the party
with us. A “pig-festival” with the hot stones and the earth pits is probably the
most interesting thing to see on a travel to PAPUA. Photographer and
moviemakers will totally be satisfied to day. The unique of such an event can
hardly be described by words. You have to see it with your own eyes.
Lunch will be inside the hamlet. Of course there is also the opportunity for each
guest to eat out of the traditional earth pit. The fresh pig meat and the sweet
potatoes taste delicious. Back to the Resort in the late afternoon.

Day 07
PYRAMID REGION (LANI TRIBE) (B,L,D)
Start in the morning. First of all we visit the big native market in Wamena, then
continue drive along the western side of the valley. Landscape in the west part
is different compared to the east, it is dominated by grass-savannas, many
giant acacia trees can be seen on the river bank. Plenty of opportunity for you
to take Papua Beautiful Countryside picture. Small breaks in the bigger market
places Elagaima and Kimbim. Depend on the weather and Street Condition we
might drive up to the Magi Mountain in the Pyramid region, however here we will
have a spectacular view over the western Baliem-River while enjoying your Lunch.
The settlement of Pyramid in the northern Baliem-Valley was one of the first
missionary stations in the early 50´s concerning the highlands of West-Papua.
Later cosy drive back to the Resort. (180 kms altogether)

Day 08
WAMENA CITY TOUR (B,L,D)
In the morning drive from the resort to the biggest traditional market in the heart
of Wamena where you can meet hundreds of Dani selling and bartering their
agrarian products. Traditional arts and crafts like stone axes, grass nets, arrows
and bows are being sell too, after this spectacle then continue drive to the local
market near the Wamena Bridge. The beautiful decorated landscape are waiting
for your Photographic skills. Visit to the water power station at the upper course
of the beautiful Wamena-River in where we will have our lunch break surrounded
by wonderful nature. Drive on to the powerful Baliem-River near Wesaput, where
a big suspension bridge has to be crossed due to the traditional Dani hamlets
on the other side of the river that we want to visit. Before we drive back to the
Resort you have the possibility to make some small purchases in Wamena.

Day 09
WAMENA – JAYAPURA – MANADO (B)
Transfer to Airport. Then short flight to Jayapura, upon arrival connect with MZ
751 tp Manado, end of service

Day 01
JAYAPURA – WAMENA(L,D)
Arrive at Jayapura Sentani Airport , meet and greet by our representative then
take a short flight to Wamena. After arrive in Wamena transfer to The Baliem
Valley Resort, after Lunch visiting the local Market in Wamena where you may
see groups of Dani Tribes selling their daily needs, then a visit to the hanging
Bridge in Sinakma will encomplete your journeys before returning back to Hotel
for Dinner and overnight.

Day 02
TREKKING SOUTH BALIEM GORGE(B,L,D)
In the morning we drive to the southern Baliem-Valley. The road ends in a village
called Sogogmo, about 3 km before Kurima. Our walking tour along the powerful
Baliem-River begins here. First of all a suspension bridge has to be crossed.
After that the tour goes on through romantic Dani settlements with terraced
fields and wild groves of sugar cane. All the time we have a wonderful view over
the river and the narrow valley. In the early afternoon we reach the church of
Seinma where we will having our lunch surrounded by a beautiful landscape.
Before we reach Kurima a suspension bridge has to be crossed again. And before
we reach our Safari Bus some small side valleys have to be passed.
Today we will find a lot of unique photo motives. We will reach the Resort In the
late afternoon.

Day 03

Breakfast then depart to wamena to attend the God Service at Wamena Church,
before midday depart to Kurulu to attend a day long traditional “pig-festival” in
an old Dani-hamlet in the Jiwika region. Many dressed up clan members in
traditional costumes celebrate the party with us. A “pig-festival” with the hot
stones and the earth pits is probably the most interesting thing to see on a

Day 04
PASS VALLEY AND KOTILOLA CAVE (B,L,D)
Early in the morning start our Tour to Jiwika and Kurulu in the northern part of the
Baliem-Valley. Few kilometres from Kurulu we will visit the famous Kotilola-Cave.
The huge cave has partly broken down, a condition that allows a lush vegetation
then continue drive to the north to the market-place of Uwosilomo where more
photo motives are waiting for us. From here we drive up the mountains to the
Pass-Valley, deep green Mountain forest along the way is waiting for us to
admire, Lunch break during our ride in a suitable surrounding. Small trips through
the beautiful botany are possible. On our way back stop in Meagaima where a old
chief-mummy can be seen in a small Dani-hamlet next to the Baliem-River
(about 30 min walking) We reach the Resort in the late afternoon.

Day 05

transfer to Sentani Indah Hotel , afternoon free at own leisure , Lunch , Dinner
and Overnight at Sentani Indah Hotel.

Day 07
JAYAPURA – DENPASAR (B)
Transfer to the airport and fly to your next destination.
